Of the 73,000+ refugees currently residing in Greece, an estimated one third are young people exposed to extreme trauma, with little to no access to schooling or psychosocial support.

In 2019, Youth UnMuted carried out workshops in Northern Greece and expanded programming to reach displaced youth caught up in the crisis along the US-Mexico border. From stop motion films to photography, poetry, opinion pieces and films in our online magazine, Youth UnMuted engaged with 400+ young people, provided capacity building to eductors, youth workers and lawyers, and as always, let the youth we work alongside take the lead!

In 2020, amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic, Youth UnMuted facilitated the creation of a Youth Advisory Board and a youth lead podcast called Now You Hear Us.
